Why this blog?

It is important in any democratically run organization that the proletariat be allowed to engage in dialog in regards to the legislation that will impact them.

The Church of the Nazarene’s General Assembly is coming up and it is necessary that the resolutions be made public to promote wide and deep dialog.

It is very important to note that a number of constituencies may introduce legislation (even the crazies). Do not think that because something is presented here as a resolution that it is something that will pass or that it is the opinion of any significant portion of the denomination. In fact there is no guarantee that any of these resolutions will even make it to the General Assembly – they must first be vetted by comittees.

  1. It’s sad that it has come to this: in order to allow people to read the proposals for the GA, they have to be published anonymously. I sure hope we’ll see a different CotN one day.

  2. Where are the Local Administration resolutions?

  3. Thanks for the resolutions. I don’t suppose you have posted the ICC report somewhere that we’ve missed?
